What To Expect

Who We Are

We are part of the Restoration Movement — a group committed to restoring the New Testament church as it was in the beginning. That means we strive to be Bible-centered in all that we teach and practice. Our members come from many different backgrounds and are at different points in their spiritual journeys, but we are united in our desire to worship God sincerely and follow His Word.

What to Expect When You Visit

Bible Classes

We offer Bible classes for all ages every Sunday morning and Wednesday evening. These are casual and designed to help us grow in our knowledge of God’s Word.

Worship Setting

Worship is held in the auditorium, where pews are available for seating — you’re welcome to sit wherever you feel comfortable.

Singing

We sing a cappella — that is, without instruments — following the pattern found in the New Testament. Song lyrics are displayed via PowerPoint, and hymnals are available as a supplement if you’d like to use one. Everyone is encouraged to sing together.

Prayers

Several prayers will be offered throughout the service, including any special requests or needs brought forward by members.

Preaching

Our preacher won’t be addressed with titles like “Pastor” or “Reverend.” He will likely be referred to by name or as “brother.” The sermon is typically 20–30 minutes long and focuses on Scripture, aiming to teach, encourage, and build faith.

Invitation

At the close of the sermon, the preacher will offer an invitation. This is a time when anyone who wishes to respond — for baptism, repentance, or prayer — may do so. You won’t be singled out, and you’re welcome to remain in your seat if you prefer.

The Lord's Supper

Each Sunday, we observe the Lord’s Supper, following the New Testament example. Unleavened bread and grape juice are served to remember the body and blood of Jesus Christ.

Offering

Also on Sunday mornings, an offering is collected for the work of the church. As a guest, you are not expected to give. Simply pass the collection plate along.

After the Service

We’d love the chance to meet you. If you have time after worship, feel free to stay a few minutes so we can say hello and thank you for coming.

What We Believe

The Nature of God

  • One God in three persons: the Father, the Son (Jesus), and the Holy Spirit

  • Perfect unity, equal in nature, seen clearly at the baptism of Jesus (Matthew 3:13–17)

The Father

  • Sent Jesus to offer salvation through love and justice (John 3:16; Romans 5:8)

  • The cost of sin is death, and Jesus paid that price for us (Romans 6:23)

Jesus Christ

  • Came to earth as a man, lived sinlessly, and died for our sins (John 1:14; 1 John 2:2)

  • Rose on the third day to offer victory over death (Matthew 28:1–6; 1 Corinthians 15)

  • His life, death, and resurrection provide the only path to salvation (John 14:6)

The Holy Spirit

  • Revealed the truth of God through inspired Scripture (2 Timothy 3:16–17; 2 Peter 1:21)

  • Miraculous gifts ceased with the apostles; today, the Spirit works through the written Word (1 Corinthians 13:8–12)

The Gospel Plan

  • Hear the word of God (Romans 10:17)

  • Believe in Jesus Christ and the truth of the gospel (John 6:28–29; John 1:12)

  • Repent of sin and commit to a new life in Christ (Luke 13:3; Romans 6:2)

  • Confess Jesus as the Son of God (Romans 10:9–10; Acts 8:37)

  • Be baptized by immersion for the forgiveness of sins (Acts 2:38; Mark 16:16; 1 Peter 3:21)

  • Live faithfully for the rest of your life (Revelation 2:10; 1 John 1:7; Acts 8:22)
